The Grandsons of the Pioneers
were a variety act in the spirit of vaudeville performing in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1980. Their repertoire included bluegrass, jazz, country & pop, in fact they played just about everything but the music of the "Sons of the Pioneers." Their appearance venues included the Sacred Grounds coffee shop in the Haight, the Mission Blue Cafe in Noe Valley, the Devil's Herd in the Mission district, the Cannery Stage in Fisherman's Wharf and the Over the Hill Bar & Grill in Stinson Beach. One of their performances at the Mission Blue Cafe was immortalized on tape and has been remastered to Compact Disc for your enjoyment.
